Camping Gear Checklist & FREE Printable!

camping gear checklist

Camping season is almost here, and my family is really excited to pack up and head out on our first camping adventure of the summer. (We’re actually just wrapping up the third week of April and we still about 2 feet of snow on the ground around here. BUT, I’m confident that summer will arrive some day, and when it does we will be ready for it!)

My boys have been asking for weeks when we can pack up the camper and head to our favorite campgrounds, so while we wait, I’ve been sorting through our favorite camping gear that we’ve brought with us in the past and making lists of what to bring along this year to make our camping trips even more fun and efficient.

There’s nothing worse than getting the campsite all set up, then realizing you forgot something important…like when we forgot the roasting sticks for hotdogs and s’mores on our last camping trip of the season last summer. But better to forget something small like roasting sticks than something more important, like sleeping bags or bug spray!

I’m heading into this camping season more prepared. I love having a checklist of things we’ll need while traveling, and this is especially true for camping! There are so many things to pack for a camping trip, and it’s always more fun when you’re prepared and have everything you need, whether you’re in a tent or a camper!

So I’m going into this camping season with a checklist in hand that I can easily use to make sure we have all of the camping supplies we need for a successful, fun camping trip! No more forgetting all.the.things it takes to make sure everyone has a good time.

If you’re ready to start packing up for your next camping trip, here’s a checklist of camping equipment must haves to  help make your trip a success!
